Artwork gifted to Cork Maritime Museum during Friendship Ceremony

On 17 September 2019, a friendship agreement was signed between the King Island Historical Society and the Passage West Maritime Museum in Cork, Ireland. Linked by the Neva shipwreck, the agreement aims to foster and develop a cultural bond of respect and friendship between the people of Tasmania and the people of Cork for all time.

As part of the ceremony, President of the King Island Historical Society and Deputy Mayor of King Island, Luke Agati, presented the Maritime Museum in Passage West with one of my artworks, the sculpture Ocean Tears.

I feel very honoured that my artwork was chosen for this exchange!
