This nineteenth century style dress is the first of three dresses made as tributes to the largely unrecognised contribution of women to the operation of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse, an isolated lighthouse on the southernmost tip of Bruny Island. It is made from seaweeds gathered from Cape Bruny.
