Hagar

Penguin sea-slick’t stops
Stoddles* shakes preens forage-tells.
Seaweed party dress.

* combo stands, walks, waddles

I love it that my artwork has inspired this creative response. Visual art and poetry have many similarities. One is predominantly imagery without words, the other words without images. Both thus give space for our imagination. Both speak to our subconscious, intuitive selves, and communicate in symbols and metaphors, often with multiple levels of meaning. And they compliment each other beautifully.
